” If you want something done right you have to do it yourself”
These words should not be in the vocabulary of any business owner. If you want something done right than you should teach someone how to do it right.
To grow your business you have to learn to delegate some responsibility. What ever you can do someone else can do even better. There really are people better than you. The hard part is finding them and keeping them.
I know it’s hard to let your “baby” free but you have to do it. I suggest picking your least favorite job whether it be installation, sales, bookkeeping and find someone to do it. And please let them do it don’t watch them all the time.
But before you do set them free take a minute and figure out exactly what you expect out of them.
Turn the new job into a system
- Write a very detailed job description
- Write a installation/process manual for the job (be very very detailed)
And as you go update both their job description and process manual to include any thing you forgot. With all of your new founded time you can concentrate on running your business.
