Contractor Longtail Keywords

How to think like a client when choosing your keywords!

This has been the biggest problem for contractors to learn because it’s hard to change hats and think like there client does when looking for their services.

A lot of the time your main keywords are to expensive for your type of business. But, when you can turn your main keywords into long tail keywords, then this will not only narrow down your search, but also cost you less at the same time.

Plus, when you kick in the local search part of it the cost can come down even more.

Let’s See How to Save Some Money

Take the key word “roofer” now this word would be expensive to buy. So let’s use “I need a new roof” or “I need a metal roof” or “New roof in New London NH” or “Roofing contractor for Sarasota Florida”

Also you can use “Presidential shingle roof” or “Three tab shingle roof” or “Roofing repairs New London NH”

What contractors need to learn is to use the keywords that your client will use to find your services or products.

Once you learn how to do more long tail keywords, you will not only save money but your client will be a better qualified to buy your services.

Long tail  keywords is science and you must run several different campaigns to narrow down the keywords that work best for you and your contracting business.

Remember this is just another marketing tool but once you master it can be very powerful and once your testing is done and you roll it out on a larger scale your leads can add up fast.

One more good thing about keywords is that you can turn it off and on with a simple strokes of the computer keys. Nothing else can match the results and the ease.

So, I hope this helps you and we could write all night about long tail keywords, but you really need to jump in and start a campaign that works for you and your budget.

Leave me a comment on how you use keywords.
