Contractor Leads

335350003_needle Are finding good quality leads like finding a needle in a hay stack?

This has always been a sore subject in the past and mainly because a lot of contractors get mad when there lead company sells the lead to many contractors.

To me it’s the lazy way out of getting contractor leads.

I can only believe that contractors do it this way because they do not no how to market there company for leads?

I have been on a lot of forums and I have never heard anyone say something good about the lead company they use. But, they still use them and it’s not cheap from what I understand.

Most of the contractor lead companies sell there leads to several construction companies. This sounds crazy and I would think it makes for a tuff sell.

Let me give you a simple and resonable way to get leads that works for us and we have it on auto pilot and the phone keeps ringing with quality leads.

We use inserts advertising in our local papers. We spend 14 to 22 cents each.

The key to it is the ad. Graphics and color and some pictures and a little content. Plus a call to action!

You need to put this on auto pilot because doing it once or twice does not work. You need to keep it going for you to see a great return. Once you get it moving it’s nothing to see 6-10% return in leads.

We see a 56% closing rate with our inserts also. Plus they will put the insert aside and keep it until they are ready for your product or services.

But let’s get back to the lead companies. Just like anything else I am sure there are some great contractor lead companies out there that do a great job. You just need to do your home work and understand the true cost of each lead and try to cut a deal for your area.

Maybe it would be better to pay more for the lead to make sure your company gets the leads in your town or your work area. Sometimes it makes sense to pay a little more for an exclusive area that’s just for your company.

The main thing is to do your homework and do what works for you.

Happy Selling
