Things sure have changed when it comes to replacement windows. Yes, you now have so many styles to choose from but you also have some serious energy saving windows now on the market.
Pending on what area of the country you live in they make a window that will fit all your needs. The window industry as a whole has seen a major shift into energy savings as the key point to selling windows.
We have also seen replacement windows change because of a lot of code changes around the country and especially in the coastal areas. Studies have shown that keeping the window in tact and the glass from breaking has been able to save insurance companies a large amount of money in claims.
Replacement window manufactures have stepped up to the plate to meet the new demand for energy saving and hurricane proof impact windows for the main coastal area.
I would also agree that the glass manufactures have been able to step it up with all new smart glass type technology. This means you won’t be seeing tinted glass as we know it but clear glass with the ability to block the suns rays but still let the light in.
Yes, it’s hard to believe that a clear piece of glass can do so much and have more energy savings then before. The glass manufactures did the right thing when they started working on energy type glass. They went to there dealers and talked to them on what would there clients would like to have.
Most clients wanted the energy savings at all cost but still wanted a warm and bright home. They wanted to make sure that there home would still have the daylight without any dark spots throughout their home.
This is how everyone coming together as an industry can shape the future in replacement windows business and everyone will prosper and the client will end up with the energy savings and the styles to meet the clients demand.
